b. 1972
Daniel Anhorn est né en 1972 à Vancouver en Colombie-Britannique et a vécu son enfance à Revelstoke. Daniel est fils d’immigrants : son père, d’origine Suisse, était guide de montagne et spécialiste en avalanches et sa mère, femme au foyer d’origine Allemande, possède un talent inné pour le jardinage biologique et le soin des enfants. Il a grandi dans un environnement de verdure bucolique, dans lequel il a pu développer sa sensibilité pour le sublime, ainsi que remettre en question de cette notion, dès sa tendre enfance. Les camionnettes Volkswagen qu’il crée, présentées dans un état délabré, proposent une réinterprétation du romantisme des années soixante/soixante-dix et le style de vie, les valeurs et l’esthétique marginaux caractéristiques de cette époque.
