Phil Irish a complété un Baccalauréat en Beaux Arts et en Littérature anglaise de l’Université de Guelph, en 1995. Ses œuvres ont été présentées dans plusieurs expositions de groupe à travers le Canada et les États-Unis. Sa contribution à la Compétition internationale de peinture de la Francophonie a été exposée à la Galerie Nationale du Canada en 2001. Phil a présenté son travail dans des musées publics, des centres d’artistes et des galeries commerciales incluant la Tom Thomson Memorial Art Gallery, la Joyce Yahouda Gallery, l’Angell Gallery et l’AKA Artist Run Centre. Il a été artiste résident pour la Ville de Kitchener et a également participé à des projets de résidences à Terre-Neuve et au Symposium de Baie-Saint-Paul, Québec. Récemment, la vision artistique de Phil se retrouve en format numérique dans une œuvre-web créée pour les Oakville Galleries; en 2007, il fût ajouté sur la liste officielle du concours national de portraits du Canada, le Kingston Prize.
