| Born in Toronto, Julie Glick was raised in an artistically obsessed and creatively invigorating environment. Working primarily in oil, the realistic subjects of Glick’s paintings are often arranged within an abstract or surreal context. Julie Glick pursued an education in the Arts at a variety of schools including the Ontario College of Art, the University of Toronto, the Avenue Road School of Art and semi-privately in the studios of Catherine Hobart and Klaas Hart. She has participated in over twenty solo and group exhibitions. In 2003, she was awarded the Spirit of Chinook Award from the Scarborough Arts Council. Julie Glick’s work can be found in private collections in Canada, the United States and Hong Kong. |
