Dana Holst a complété ses études à l’Université de Waterloo où elle a obtenu un Baccalauréat en arts visuels en 1995. Depuis la fin de ces études Dana a exposé ses oeuvres au travers le Canada dans des expositions de groupes et individuelles. Dans les derniers dix ans, elle a reçu des bourses du Conseil des arts du Canada, du Conseil des arts de l’Ontario et la Fondation des arts de l’Alberta. Au cours de sa carrière, elle a reçu plusieurs prix, entre autres, le prix pour la meilleure œuvre au Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibtion (l’exposition d’art en plein air de Toronto). Ces œuvres font parties de plusieurs collections publiques et privées au travers le Canada comme la banque d’œuvres d’art du Conseil des Arts du Canada et la collection de la Fondation des arts de l’Alberta. Dana habite et travail à Edmonton, Alberta.
