Pink, Andrew

b. 1974
Andrew Pink was born in Montreal, Canada in 1974.  After graduating from the Dawson College Fine Arts program, he attended Concordia University, specializing in painting and drawing.

Andrew uses his work as a means of exploring contemporary issues; globalization, the environment, consumer culture, war and violence. Increasingly he is interested in the concept of cultural spillover, whereby behaviour in seemingly unrelated domains can have influence over each other. By combining hockey imagery with WWII propaganda art, Andrew’s most recent work draws parallels between the worlds of sport and militarism.

Andrew has exhibited across North America and is represented in several corporate and private collections.
