Pete Smith est artiste, critique d’art et parfois même commissaire. Depuis qu’il a complété un Baccalauréat en Beaux Arts à la York University en1998, ainsi qu’une Maîtrise dans le même domaine à l’Université de Guelph en 2007, Pete expose ses œuvres fréquemment. Quelques-unes de ses expositions les plus récentes incluent The system has no memory au Board of Directors de Toronto, Proverbs for Paranoids à la Elissa Cristall Gallery de Vancouver, returning message to sender à la Joan Ferneryhough Gallery de North Bay, en Ontario (2008) ainsi que Resident Threshold à la Zavitz Gallery de l’Université de Guelph (2007). Ses essais sur l’art ont été publiés dans Canadian Art et Border Crossings. Actuellement, Pete donne des ateliers de perfectionnement en dessin et en peinture à l’University of Western Ontario.
