Geoffrey Pugen a récemment complété une Maîtrise à la York University, de Toronto. Il est représenté par la Angell Gallery depuis 2005, et y a tenu sa troisième exposition solo en mai 2009. Ses œuvres vidéo, musicales et autres ont fait l’objet d’expositions tant à l’échelle locale qu’internationale, avec des présentations tenues à Berlin, en Australie, à New York, Chicago, Miami ainsi qu’à Toronto; en juin 2008, l’un de ses films fût projeté au World Wide Short Film Festival.

Geoffrey est récipiendaire des bourses octroyées pour les arts médiatiques en 2009 par le Conseil Canadien des Arts, ainsi que par le Toronto Arts Council. Il s’est également mérité une subvention de la part de BravoFACT! pour débuter le tournage de son prochain projet, « Macho Girls ». En 2006, Geoffrey a obtenu le prix Hunter, soulignant l’excellence en arts interdisciplinaires. Les œuvres de cet artiste explorent le désir humain de se rapprocher du monde animal, au moyen d’une transformation de l’esprit et du corps qui entraînerait un profond changement de sa relation à la nature et à l’urbanité.
