Kennedy, Ronan

Irish born artist Ronan Kennedy attended the Alberta College of Art in the early 1980s and then traveled to St. John's where he has lived and worked in for over 26 years. He has a varied interest in artistic themes, such as figurative, urban and pastoral country landscapes. He recently completed a series of paintings of a nearby city park, Victoria Par, focusing attention on the need to protect and enhance inner city green areas. His next series of paintings deals with powerful titles of leadership bestowed upon farm animals, namely hens and chickens. The drawings for this series are now complete and can be viewed online at: www.ronankennedy.com.
