Samocha, Ram
Ram Samocha was born in 1966. He holds a B.F.A from the Bezalel Academy of Arts, Jerusalem and M.F.A from the University of Waterloo, Canada. As an immigrant artist, Samocha focuses on the issues of personal and global transformation by combining drawing, video, animation, and performance. He speaks through abstraction and the physical process of repetitive line-based actions. Samocha’s work is part of various museum and private collections and has been shown in Israel, Italy, The Netherlands, Mexico, the United States and Canada.
