Rock Therrien was born in the village of Armargh, Quebec, 1970. He states that: “Painting has never appeared to me as being an easy medium. However, when it decides to grab you, it will always push you further into the materials.” Self taught Therrien suffers from an incurable illness: To always paint and push his previous limits. Both personal and professional, the dream of realizing his artistic expression was a long road. His artwork comes from an exploratory methodology of capturing inspirational fragments of life that exist in an imaginary world were he lives.

Therrien’s passion for visual arts and mix media have aided in the discovery of his own particular aesthetic style and technique. With a sharp sense of humor, Therrien’s artwork vibrate with colour and with an explosive vivacity. At this moment, Therrien’s inventive and skilled hands have created more than one hundred pieces of art.
