b. 1959
Steven Orner was born and raised in rural Pennsylvania, in the United States. He earned his B.F.A. from the Maryland Institute in 1993 and his M.F.A from Yale University in 1995. He now lives and works in Montreal and is a recipient of research and creation grants form Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec and Canada Council for the Arts. He has exhibited in Canada, the United States and in Europe.
