Originaire de Saskatoon, Graeme Patterson vit à Halifax. Il détient un baccalauréat en arts multidisciplinaires de la Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (2002). Il a aussi étudié au College of Arts and Science de l’Université de la Saskatchewan (2000). Il a exposé un peu partout au Canada, notamment à la Illingworth Kerr Gallery de l’Alberta College of Art + Design (Calgary), à The Rooms Provincial Art Gallery (St. John’s), à la Mendel Art Gallery (Saskatoon), dans la section Open Spaces de la Toronto International Art Fair, mais aussi à New York, à la Eli Klein Fine Art Gallery. Il est finaliste au prix artistique Sobey 2009.
